You would think an art teacher would know that the plural of "medium" is not "mediums".

You would think an English teacher would know that the singular of "parentheses" is not "parenthese".

You would think anyone*, let alone a teacher, would know that a question mark goes after a question.

You would think I would be doing my homework.

*Except NcSandberg.

p.s. they released the title of book 7

XD Yes, I've often wondered how certain teachers ever became teachers...especially English teachers, who always misuse the exact same grammar stuff they teach. Especially "affect" and "effect". Those have become a huge pet peeve. In fact, I've seen "effect" used for "affect" pretty much every single time it's used, and now whenever I see "affect" used correctly, my mind does a double take and thinks "...is that right?" My mind has been permanently confused. I blame stupid people. Who happen to be mostly teachers, because I usually see the mistake on assignment sheets.

YES! I hate that too. It happens all the time. >:(

Maybe I should take this over to [livejournal.com profile] teacher_rants. Nah, too lazy.
