If you want something done right.

So there was this pretty awesome thread on Something Awful that I was looking at. The idea is that you take characters from something and represent them by little blocks of pixels, and still have them be recognizable. Some of the ones on there are pretty awesome. :D

But there was one series I wanted to see show up, and I was very sad when no one made one.

So I made it myself.



It's Digimon Adventure!

This actually came out a lot better than I thought it would. So I went on and made two more.

I'll do the rest tomorrow. I was just pretty excited about these, so I had to share them with you guys. :B

Oh my god, I could recognize them immediately without being told what/who they were. I don't know whether to be proud or sad...

At least these are for a show I watched. I remember instantly recognizing one representing Haruhi Suzumiya and then thinking "But wait...I don't even watch that show! How the hell?"

That's how it's supposed to work! So you are doing it right. :B I think they have done studies on this or something, about how you can strip something down to the barest elements and have it still be recognizable. It is all very interesting.

Well, Haruhi has a very recognizable color scheme. Take this picture (http://imgur.com/58Nom.jpg) for example. (Unless that is what you were talking about whoops)
