This mildly peeved letter brought to you by the Itsuki/Kyon dream I had last night.
People who replace Kyon with Haruki and Haruhi with Kyonko in Haruki Suzumiya screenshots:
Look, I appreciate your contributions to the genderbending cause, and I understand it must be much easier to have Kyonko dragging Haruki by his tie instead of drawing a whole new scene of him carrying her, but... you're kind of doing it wrong. When you do that, you're completely messing their personalities around. Haruhi wouldn't get exasperated by Kyon's antics ever, right? Kyon wouldn't have antics. So why would that happen when they're genderswapped? Just... remember that personality matters, people.
Disclaimer: I haven't seen the whole show. Kyon may acquire antics at some point. In which case, disregard.
Also, I've never understood the name "Haruhiko". "Ko" is for girls' names, right? So why would you put it on the end of a girl's name already if you were going to make her into a dude? Eh, maybe it's a Japanese thing.

AFAIK "hiko" is a different kanji that's usually used in boys' names. (It's still damn confusing though!)
And also, Itsuki/Kyon... I can has more details? 8D

Ah, okay. I'd only seen the name in kana, so. That makes sense. I still like "Haruki" better, though.
Details... well, it was hazy then and it's hazier now, but I do know that there was bodyswap and it was hot. :D
