Is it actually possible for me to answer one of these without rambling?
I would like to comment on how angry it makes me when people I respect make fun of anime nerds and furries. So here goes: It makes me angry when people I respect make fun of anime nerds and furries.
Now on to a meme.
Association Meme: Comment to this post and I will give you 5 subjects/things I associate you with. Then post this in your LJ and elaborate on the subjects given.
Yuki gave me:
1. TV Tropes
Anyone who doesn't know about this site, LEARN. But be careful - that thing will eat several hours, at least. TV Tropes has the well-deserved reputation of being the most addictive site on the interwebs. You think you're just going to read one page, but that leads to another... and another... and... I've spent upwards of eight hours on that place. ._.;; And even if, because you have no life and do not need to eat or sleep, you somehow manage to read every trope there is, people will have gone in and added tons of new entries to the existing pages, so you can start all over! :D I am rambling, but honestly, there really is no better way to waste your time. Check it out.
(Also, I finally got Yuki to succumb to its power. Score.)
2. Neopets
As I haven't been on the site in about six years, I can only assume this is due to my default icon, which I only post with because I've only got five icons and most of them have limited uses. But yeah, that's Vira the Acara from Neopets, who I thought was pretty cool at the time I had the icon made. Also, "Vira" kinda sounds like "Vethica". No, but Neopets was a very large part of my childhood. Towards the end of my time there I had even made a few friends, which I usually have huge amounts of trouble doing online. (Crystal, Lyric, Laid, Exi - if any of you ever happen to stumble upon this entry, it's me, Jem. How's tricks?) I got a bunch of my (IRL) friends and classmates into the site, some of whom lasted longer than others. It was my and Tyma's first big fandom. I still kinda miss it sometimes. Unfortunately, I've been locked out of my account, so I can't do anything about that. D:
3. Pokémon Colosseum
I'll be honest, I like Colosseum, I do, but it is inferior to the Stadium games in a few important respects. First, you can't pick your rental team (I had so much fun doing that in Stadium), and second, it has no minigames. I miss those minigames. I killed at the Clefairy one. But that's not to say I didn't enjoy Colosseum. I played that for long times on end when it first came out. Ah, the fun I had as Allan, running around Orre with my partner Irene and my Espeon and Umbreon and Skiploom and Entei... Someday, I do hope for a full 3-D Pokémon game (that's to say, actual wild Pokémon and gyms and junk, not this "Shadow" business), but for what it was, Colosseum was a lot of fun. Even if I could never beat the Suicune lady.
4. Genderbending
I'm an addict. I am addicted to genderbending. First of all, it's awesome when the professionals do it, "professionals" being defined here as "anyone with decent drawing/editing ability". You get the whole genderswapped series, like Haruki Suzumiya, which is cool beyond words. And it's also a fun thing to do by yourself, and not that hard, even just to imagine it. For instance, I have an Apollo Justice genderswap in progress, with such characters as Artemis Justice, Klair (or Klaire, I haven't decided) and Kristine Gavin, Emett Skye, Trucian Wright, and... Hobo f!Phoenix. (Phoenix's name does not swap well. ;A;) Here is a link to a post where I posted some genderswap, so you can see some good examples. Okay, maybe I should talk about why I like the GS. Well, I just like seeing what characters would be like if they were the opposite gender. How would their personality be different? Their circumstances? It's just fun to see or think about. If anyone has any recs, btw, toss them my way, will ya? Good genderswap is hard to come by.
5. Canada
What, you mean this guy? </hetalia nerd> No, but seriously. Canada is basically my default cool place/"cooler than America" country/random answer when I don't know the real one (e.g. "How many sons did Genghis Khan have?" "Canada."), although that last has pretty much been supplanted by "your mom". So I don't really talk about the place that much anymore, especially since I finally went there this summer and realized it was a lot like America, but with more French. Still, a lot of cool stuff comes from there, notably music (Barenaked Ladies, Nickelback, or Green Day, anyone?), Wolverine, and some mighty fine pretzel bread. And Matt is adorable. Also, I have a girlfriend who lives there. She couldn't be sweeter, I wish you could meet her. (If you don't get the reference, don't talk to me. >:|)
Oh, and Canada/US? Always in that order. Always.
Also, unrelated, but congratulations to Mr. Ledger on the Oscar. Not that there was any doubt he'd win, but still, he deserved it.

(Also, Ledger's role as best supporting actor IN THAT MOVIE is debatable. Two-face's performance seemed impressive to me as well - of course, I don't watch much live-action, so my views here aren't very refined.

I agree, Mr. Eckhart was also quite good. But I'm not sure they can nominate two people from the same movie anyway, and Mr. Eckhart will always have a chance to win another, is how I see it.

4. Why did that Eva genderswap video get taken down? WHYYYY?!
5. Oh yes, your girlfriend who lives in Canada. So soon you'll be off to Alberta... I mean Vancouver!
(Speaking of genderbending, I love the irony of a girl making this reference, since the whole point of the "girlfriend" was Rod trying to prove he wasn't gay. XD)
