So it looks like my old Neopets account will be deleted tomorrow because I can't remember the stupid fake birthday I signed up with. ;_; I know I haven't used that thing in years (mainly because I can't remember the stupid fake birthday I signed up with), but it was a huge thing in my life for a while. I even had friends there, which was unusual for me. I took screenshots so I'll remember it, but still. I'm gonna miss it. ;_;

Umm. On a less depressing note, I saw Scott Pilgrim yesterday. I think HG's reaction is better written than anything I could say, but to sum up: quite good. It's made me start reading the books as well; I'd be perfectly happy for the movie to be my canon, except that everyone in the books is so darn cute. So there's that then. 1/6 BOOKS COMPLETED

I've also started reading the Hunger Games. They do not disappoint. Captivating, original, well-written. It was hard for me to put the first book down to write this entry. Unless it somehow becomes terrible at some point later, I recommend it.

Still trapped in TV Tropes, as I have been for the past few days. (Someone send food.) It has not been in vain, though: I present you this video as my spoils. (IT'S FUNNY OK)

No Pokémon updates to speak of.

Neopets! Dude, I used to be such a fan of that site... xP It's been forever since I've played that, ahaha. But the whole birthday thing was always an issue for me too... ><

But Hunger Games was okay. I didn't think it was that original, but maybe it was because I read Battle Royale first. It's basically a more violent/graphic version of Hunger Games. xD There's a manga for it too, but the novel was really much better in my opinion.

Interesting. I read Battle Royale first and was dreading that Hunger Games would be a rip-off. Surprisingly, outside of a bit in the second half of Catching Fire, it's pretty thematically and stylistically different from BR despite the conceptual similarities. I'd say it's more like Kino's Journey mixed with Battle Royale.

Hmm, I could definitely see that. I actually haven't read Catching Fire yet, so my impressions were solely based on Hunger Games, but I'll take a look now and see the differences. :3
