It's a plan then. Actually if I end up being good at any of the voices, maybe I will post some of mine too, since Jay seems to really want me to get involved in his voice acting stuff. What's this about Equius?

And yeah, that's exactly the reason I was thinking of. Conrad is apparently fun to play because he gets to be YELLING ALL THE TIME! (Although I will applaud Jay's acting chops forever if he can make it through one of those self-arguing memos without laughing. Because seriously XD)

Aww, thanks! I remember your casting meme saying I'd make a good Aradia too... Well, I guess if I'm so good at playing a creepy AI (GLaDoS), I guess I'd probably be good at playing a creepy ghost/robot girl. Also, suuuuuuuure it's not.

You know what else is awesome? Playing villains is kinda awesome. So I'm gonna be working extra hard on my Vriska. If I can scare him a little listening to that, I will know I've succeeded. :::;)

I am finding it really difficult to reconcile you and Vriska in my mind, but that is why I have to hear this too! Even if you can't scare him you will probably scare me, so there is that. :B

Unless other people get in on our reading sessions, we'll end up doing all the voices (yes, all of them) between us anyway. So I'll try them all and see which ones make a good impression. (Is this where I mention that I have no idea how to voice Terezi? 'Cause at least that's one area where I currently expect to fail epicly.) And I just realized why this feels like a bigger deal than anything I've read with Jay before: nothing else had this many girls. I mean we'll actually have to do roughly equal amounts of work (especially since we're planning to take turns narrating), even though I am not the one with the voice acting experience.

OK, now I'm thinking of Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. One more reason you should always know where your towel is! (Or for a certain Alternian, probably several towels.)

And that's why it'll 8e even sweeter if I can pull it off! Oh dang, all of them? That is exciting indeed. I kind of have an idea of how Terezi's voice would sound like, but I am not sure if I would be able to actually produce it. I guess that didn't help you out at all. But I'm sure you can come up with something. :B So do you guys do a lot of joint voice acting?

I guess I can always look through the forums for other people's voice acting to get ideas. We've done it occasionally while reading Bleach or HINaBN (I'm pretty sure my Toni is also fails, ftr), but nothing before where I had THIS MANY PARTS. But Homestuck is particularly fun (partly because I get to do a lot more and also because it's Homestuck), so I really want to try and dub as much as possible. (At any rate, this way I can make sure Jay keeps reading until the addiction sets in.)

...Or I could just get kinda discouraged, because WOW. People on the forums are GOOD at this. Well, I still wanna read with Jay, so I'll keep practicing. But I mean, IDK how good of a coach he'll be. (I can hot and 8other him too easily, you know?)

Yeah, I know, man. After the last post I went and tried to record some voice acting, and then I realized I am absolutely terrible. :B So cheer up, because you are almost certainly better. You are probably even good! :D
And you should see how the coaching thing goes, but it will probably go fine. I'm sure Jay can be professional. (I do not know how easily you can hot and 8other him, as it happens. But I can extrapolate.)

I think I'm pretty good at the acting part, actually, it's more the voices. (OK, being thaaaaaaaat mean may be a stretch. I'll have to consider it the highlight of the voice acting career I don't have.)
I think my existing evil side gets him hot and 8othered, so that part should be easy. ~~He'll be hot like my irons. 8ecause, you know, they're aaaaaaaall in the fire.~~

I'm not good at voices either, so you are still better than me. :B And it sounds like you guys have an... interesting relationship.

I let him hear me practice! He seemed impressed by my rehearsal of this page. Well, except when Aradia ribbited and he burst out laughing and I broke character to be all "IT MAKES SENSE IN CONTEXT, OK?" and took a few lines to get back into it. But apparently I can handle rapid switching between R8EG and em0ti0nlessness. So I'd say so far I am doing awesome.

So how far is he exactly? He needs to catch uuuup. ;_; And er, how exactly are you doing all this hot and 8othering? :B

Thank you ^_^ (I mean ^_6) I think I got a little carried away, but I needed to be for parts of that (mostly the heart-pounding line and the end bit). The test is if I can keep the voices consistent. I might have to spoil him again with other practice logs.
