So apparently in the Baccano! DS game you can make two of the dudes get married. Two dudes who are both psycho killers and also enemies. In 1930s America. And it's adorable. Here's the scene (WARNING: spoilers) and accompanying screenshot. Ffffff. And now I ship it.

Also I finished Baccano! yesterday (with

ocelotofdoom). Um. It's pretty amazing. The characters (so many characters). The train fights. The masterfully interlocking storylines. The heartwarming (yes, there is, actually, buckets of it.) The dub. Y'all definitely ought to watch it, if you haven't already. A few people to squee with wouldn't go amiss. :D

Thoughts/opinions:
- Nice/Jacuzzi is adorable and amazing and canon and fhjfdhjfhbjf. OTP ♥
- Well, except for Isaac/Miria which is my other OTP. Episode 8, mannn.
- Apparently it was not entirely uncommon for women to keep their maiden names even back then, so Isaac and Miria could have been married. I don't know why I'm attached to that idea. It is just cute to me.
- I would also like to read some Isaac/Miria fic with maybe some romance in it if anyone knows where I could find some. I mean, they don't even kiss in-series. :|
- Okay let's talk about another pairing.
- I do not get everyone's love for Claire/Chane. I actually think it is pretty creepy tbh. Maybe that is because I do not like Claire as much as other people do, I do not know. But he only proposes to her because he proposes to every girl he meets, and she only gets with him because he's the first person to express affection towards her. I mean, the girl probably doesn't even know what it is to love someone. I guess it's kind of cute and all, but it still rubs me the wrong way.
- Graham Specter is severely annoying (another unpopular opinion, I think). He's cute, but that and his crush on Ladd are all he has going for him. Poor man's Ladd, really.
- I do enjoy Ladd a great deal.
- Jacuzzi is awesome, awesome, awesome. Haters gonna hate.
- Amazing names in this show:
  - Szilard Quates
  - Elmer Albatross
  - Jacuzzi Splot

Anyway that is my excuse as to why I did not do the Digimon meme yesterday. Luckily, the next two days kind of go together, so I will do them as a unit.

OH GOD THE PROPOSAL SCENE. I want to see that animated so bad. I haven't seen that picture before, but now that I've seen it, I realize how much I ship it. My only male/male pairing in Baccano, interesting...

I'm sure it exists... somewhere. :( Danbooru's mostly got official art, and even between that and Zerochan I haven't found that much fanart that I particularly enjoy. :c And I don't know about fic. Perhaps the LJ community has some stuff; I haven't plumbed its depths to the full extent yet. I can dump my small Ladd/Claire stash though, if you're interested.

Also yes it is the greatest (other then Jacuzzi Splot). If I have a child someday I will name it Elmer Albatross. (Joking. Maybe.)

AUGH I keep hearing fabulous things about Baccano but I am kind of squeamish when it comes to a lot of violence (I can handle about up to FMA levels but beyond that I am seemingly a wuss) so I haven't watched it yet!! SO FRUSTRATING RARGH. I mean... how could I not watch a show where a character is named JACUZZI SPLOT. That is hands down one of the weirdest/coolest names I have ever heard.

Also we are in complete agreement over the Sorato thing. That is one of the few times I can remember being very confused over a pairing as a kid because it was so entirely out of left field. Oh well. :/

Oh, man, sorry, yes, I should have said something about that in the post. Great as Baccano! is, it is definitely not for the faint of heart. I totally understand if you cannot watch it. (But yes, Jacuzzi Splot is absolutely the best name.)

I am glad there are other people who share my ~~seething hatred~~ distaste for Sorato. Seriously, where did it even come from? Was there any buildup or what even was there. :|

Oh no it's cool, I just end up wishing I was more resilient when something as cool as Baccano comes along. It's not so much that it grosses me out, it's more like... an empathy thing? idek

I know, right? I can't even remember them really having much in the way of interaction prior to that. One of the writers must have had a 'die for our ship' mentality about it or something haha

I think that is probably what it is, because I don't remember them being very close in Adventure or even the beginning of 02. Really all the signs were pointing to Taiora and then BAM. :|

So, yeah, I finished Baccano and it was awesome. Also, agree with you Claire should be with Ladd rather than Chane.
