So, I'm still trying to get back into the hang of this "posting regularly" thing. I'm not quite sure I've mastered it yet, but hey, anything more than one post every 3 months is progress for me. :B I was actually going to post yesterday as well, but I wasn't feeling so good and also I had to work on my final for my Fairy Tales and Gender class (a retelling of The Snow Queen with lesbians, woooo). But I am done with that now (the draft, anyway), and also I'm planning to start something that will hopefully get me posting a lot more from now on! But before I can tell you that story, I have to tell you this story.

this story is the Anime Boston con report btw )

Wow that was horrendously long. Kudos to you if you read all of it. Anyway, here is that thing I was talking about that will hopefully revolutionize my posting habits (i.e., make them existent)! :D

{Take the 100 Things challenge!}

I know I don't normally do stuff like this, but I saw [livejournal.com profile] burningqueen doing it and I was inspired. :D My topic is going to be 100 of my fandoms. It would probably sound better as something like "100 fandoms I am or have been in", but I never really leave a fandom, just kind of drift away from it for a while (which is what led me to think of the topic in the first place). I'm going to be posting them in alphabetical order, and I wanted to get the first one up tonight, but we'll see how much energy I have after writing this big long post. But if this works out, prepare yourselves for a whole lot more entries from me. I think you're going to like them. c:

Otakon report! (WARNING: LONG) )

So all in all, Otakon was pretty awesome. ^_^

Loot! )

A meme! (LESS LONG) )

I think this entry has set the record for most tags in a post on my LJ.

I suppose I should do some kind of year-end post. All the cool kids are doing it. Um, I liked 2009 a lot. It was probably one of my favorite years that happened to me. So let's hope 2010 will be even better! :D

Fandom year-end meme )

I've had a lot of stuff to post and it was too much to post in one post so this post will only post part of it. And yes, I am trying to set a world record for the number of times saying "post" in one sentence. And the number of tags on this post.

First, a meme stolen from HG:

Make a list of 10 fandoms you are in/things you like and then have your friends list guess who you think is the most attractive/would date/sleep with/etc. Cross them off as they're guessed.

1. Bleach Szayel ([livejournal.com profile] hoyvinglavin64)
2. Kuroshitsuji Grell ([livejournal.com profile] alex_romao)
3. Lost
4. Hetalia
5. Nolanverse Batman
6. Sandman Dream ([livejournal.com profile] hoyvinglavin64)
7. Phoenix Wright Jake Marshall ([livejournal.com profile] alex_romao)
8. US presidents
9. Yu Yu Hakusho Kurama ([livejournal.com profile] hoyvinglavin64)
10. Star Wars Obi-Wan (Episode II) ([livejournal.com profile] hoyvinglavin64)

And, like HG's, most of these'll be super easy. ~*~so predictable~*~

Cut for the rest. Anime Boston, Pokémon stuff. )

I am probably more excited than I should be that my limited knowledge of Japanese is now at the point where I can mangle certain YouTube Poop lines. ここに 地図が あります。どこに いきたいですか?FEAR IT, YO.

Have a meme I got from a place.
Pick six of your favorite fandoms and answer the questions (don't look at the questions before you choose the fandoms). For "favorite" read "current".

1. Bleach
2. Hetalia
3. The World Ends With You
4. Sandman
5. Lost
6. Kuroshitsuji

I bet you're really curious to see what happens. (Warning: contains fangirling.) )

Okay, guise. So my newest fandom/obsession/craze/thingy:

SANDMAN.

fffffff. Okay, first, it's Neil Gaiman, so you know there's no way it can't be good. Second, it's so dang engrossing. Third, it's got something for everyone. Horror? Check. Romance? Check. Mythology? Check. Weird mythology? Check. Anthropomorphic personifications of concepts that begin with the letter "D"? Check. And fourth... it's Neil Gaiman. I am not very good at reccing things, but please, please don't let my bad description turn you off it. Check it out. For me?

Note: Side effects may include the song "Mr. Sandman" by the Chordettes getting stuck in your head for unspecified amounts of time. You were warned.

Also, I am not gonna lie here, I actually went "kawaii!" when I saw the chibi Dream and Death in "A Parliament of Rooks". I think that's the first time I've ever used that word non-sarcastically. And it turns out there's a whole book about the Little Endless and aren't they just the cutest things? *_*

And, uh... is it wrong to have a crush on the anthropomorphic personification of Dream? (This person prettied him up some, but you get the idea.) 'Cause... fffffffffff.
