Saw two awesome movies in the past few days. The first was Summer Wars, which was amazing and touching (I actually cried, which... doesn't happen often). Despite what people say, it really isn't all that similar to Our War Game, apart from the ideas of a rogue AI and impending missiles. It came off as more of a homage than anything. I'm actually planning to get the DVD (and I don't own many DVDs either), if only to see how the dub came out. In conclusion, watch this movie. :B
The second was Atlantis: The Lost Empire, which I've been meaning to watch for forever. It turned out to be another one of those that I should have seen back when it came out, because I found myself being very fond of it. The characters! ♥ I found I could ignore the plot holes, but I did come out thinking that it should have been longer for the sake of character development. If we got to see more of the characters' interactions and growing friendships, I think it would have been a lot more powerful. And Milo should have totally gotten with Audrey. (Also, yeah, huge crush on Milo. He's not the trope picture for Adorkable for nothing. A socially awkward linguist with the voice of Marty McFly, come on, that's not fair.)
Also this meme's been kicking around the flist.
You know how sometimes people on your friendslist post about stuff going on in their life, and all of a sudden you think "Wait a minute? Since when were they working THERE? Since when were they dating HIM/HER? Since when???" And then you wonder how you could have missed all that seemingly pretty standard information, but somehow you feel too ashamed to ask for clarification because it seems like info you should already know? It happens to all of us sometimes.
Please copy the topics below, erase my answers and put yours in their place, and then post it in your journal! Please elaborate on the questions that would benefit from elaboration. One-Word-Answers seldom help anyone out. :)

djinni is doing an icon day again. The art's really cute and tipping is completely optional - and despite the fact that most people request animals, he draws humans just fine too. It closes tomorrow, so if you want to request, do it soon! :D

Mar. 9th, 2010 07:14 pmNostalgia Critic, thank you so much for bringing HoND back into my friends' collective consciousness. The viewing(/talking throughout the viewing) today was wonderful. Especially the fact that I got to fangirl Frollo shamelessly. ._.;; Also I think I kindasorta developed a crush on Clopin today too. I- it's the goatee. .___.;;
(I feel I also need to mention Rekka's OT5: Quasi/Phoebus/Esmeralda/Frollo/Djali. Something for everyone, I guess. :P)
Also, since this was in fact at Rekka's place, we watched a lot of Star Trek. Bones/Spock is apparently now our official OTP. The snowed-in one? Mmhm. Kirk/Spock can come too. "Captain, there is a definite pleasurable experience connected with the hearing of your voice" indeed.
All in all, a productive day, I think.
(I feel I also need to mention Rekka's OT5: Quasi/Phoebus/Esmeralda/Frollo/Djali. Something for everyone, I guess. :P)

abc_icons because I wanted to feel like I had more friends. And because it's a cool community. I had friended 10variations, but I had to unfriend it becuase all the posts were clogging my friendslist and the big pictures were murder on my dial-up. Still a good comm though.
Everyone was going off on me today at school because I drew a Gaara/Lee picture. Shad and Raven hated the thought of Gaara with anyone else, O.A. just can't imagine Lee with anybody (except me, apparently), and I'm not sure why Maddog didn't like it, but she didn't. Then there were the homophobes who were just "EWW BOYS KISSING." To quote HG, stupid homophobes. I dunno why everyone hates the ship. It's so dang cute! I think I've found a new OTP. (Yes, I'm aware that that makes three OTPs. Shut up.)
Relatedly, I think I need a Naruto guy. I mean, Shad has Gaara, Raven has Sasuke and Gaara, Maddog has Kakashi, Freeglader has Sasori, Rekka has Orochimaru, and O.A. has that Kimimario guy. (She used to have Kabuto, but Rekka made her give him up so she could kill him. Everyone seems to hate the poor helmet-head for some reason.) But I've never really felt strongly about any of them. O.A. thinks I like Lee, but I'm just not sure. He's adorable and all, but I don't know if he's the type of guy I want to spend the rest of my life with. Maybe I should listen to Rekka and define my parameters, but it really depends on the guy, dunnit.
In happier news, we got a printer. And I was in fact able to watch "Reality Trip", albeit a rerun. Most of it was pretty good, but dude, dei ex machinis are not your friend. Well, off to study some more. Or not.
